CALL FOR AUDITIONS: Youth Swing Band auditions will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 10 AM to 4 PM at the Buck Recreation Center, 2004 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, CO 80120. All instruments and vocal. Open to Youth 14 to 19. Intended for youth who are preparing for a career in professional music or wish to experience the professional level of performance. Auditions by appointment. Prepared selection, improvisation, sight reading. Audition packet available. Rehearsals held Tu/Th June 10 through August 9, 2008, 8:00 PM to 9:45 PM. 3 performances are scheduled. Auditions for "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" directed by Jerry Schell Ovation Players / Main Street Players will hold auditions for "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" on Saturdays, April 19 from 10 am - 4 pm and April 26 from 1 – 5 pm. Callbacks are Sundays, April 20 and 27. Show dates are July 18 – 27 at Lakewood Cultural Center. Singer / Dancers (ages 15 or older), bring bio and headshot (snapshot OK). Prepare to sing 32 bars from a Broadway standard, dance in groups, cold read from our script / score. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key, no acapella or recordings. Bring shoes appropriate for dancing. Audition to be held near the Pinnacle Theater - 9132 W. Bowles Ave. (south side of Bowles across from Target) by appointment only.
