Eddie Mekka ( Laverne and Shirley, Fiddler on the Roof ) is instantly engaging in the title role as a well-to-do father of two who never quite got over his own wedding day (who said Carmine has to grow up?). Director Bev Newcomb-Madden has let each of the players develop their own characters, and with mostly-convincing results. A strong supporting cast, good continuity, and spacious set design make this one not to be missed.
