Frequently Asked QuestionsWho is LCMA?Littleton Community Music Association is a registered nonprofit 501(c)3 operating in Arapahoe County, Colorado. It evolved from the Littleton Community Band, which traces its history to the early 1900's. LCMA was founded in 1993 by Chuck Florian, a local music teacher, who also serves as its Executive Director. The Board of Directors consists of musicians and business people who donate their services. Currently over a dozen performing groups operate under the LCMA umbrella, including the Dixie Band, Littleton Youth Orchestra, Youth Jazz Project, Festival Band, Brass Roots, and Windjammers Jazz Orchestra. The Theater Project was added in 1997, and has produced The Who’s Tommy, Anything Goes, Broadway Then and Now, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Fiddler on the Roof, Little Shop of Horrors, and several musical revues. We became The Ovation Players in 2003, and now have our own Theater Board, web site, and are expanding our season. The Ovation Singers and the Fall One-Act Festival are two new initiatives in 2003. Who supports LCMA? Our operating budget comes from tuition, ticket sales, performance revenues, rental income from music teachers, and corporate and private donations. Approximately 20% of our budget is funded through a General Operating Support Grant from the Arapahoe Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. How do I find out about
