2003 Fall One-Act Festival
Produced by The Ovation Players and
Littleton Community Music Association
Oct. 8, 15 and 22nd
Nov. 5, 12 and 19th

The Fall One-Act Series provides aspiring playwrights with a forum to display their talents. This year, LCMA put out a call for new, unproduced one-act plays and received over 25 original submissions for consideration. Works reflected a variety of genres including dramas and comedies. A committee of Ovation Players members reviewed submissions and voted on the most appropriate and viable pieces to showcase in this year’s Festival.  This year’s selections are:
“No Blues for the Cabman,” written by Ken Crost
“Climb Whisper,” by Mirage Thrams
“Adventures in Therapy,” by Constance Gelvin
“Web D’Amour” by W. Totten Reynolds
The Fall One Act Series provides numerous opportunities for aspiring directors, actors and producers to learn the ins and outs of bringing new works of artistry from paper to stage. This type of learning opportunity is rare in the Community Theatre circuit. One of the goals of this venture is to bring voice to new talents and give space to new artists. Too often community theatre relies on replicating existing or traditional works; this project highlights the high level of original artistic talent that exists outside of mainstream theatre groups in the Denver metropolitan region -- talent that deserves to be seen.
The Fall One-Act Festival begins Wednesday, Oct. 8th at The Event Center at Church Ranch in Westminster. Doors open at 6:00 pm with entertainment provided by local musicians; curtains rise at 7:00 pm.
